The Seattle Athletic Club is proud to host the teachings of Master Jody Garcia, a certified 6th degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate and a Master in Shaolin Kung Fu. He has been studying martial arts and energy work for 29 years and uses his experience to create challenging, fun, and cardio-intensive workouts in the Shaolin Kempo Karate style.

Kick Boxing
Students will work on footwork, jump roping, hand combos, kicking combos, and conditioning. Your body will learn to adapt and master the basics to become more efficient at functional movement. This is an excellent way to burn calories and to learn the basics in boxing and kickboxing. No experience is necessary.
Ultimate Warrior Training
Learn how to punch, block, kick, use footwork, and how to combine it all with proper form and technique. You will be doing upper and lower body split body weight exercises and learning how to synchronize strength, and agility to get ripped. Come learn how to bring out your inner warrior.
Kids Karate
Children will learn the fundamentals of Shaolin Kempo Karate. The class will consist of choreograghed patterns of sports, karate, and team building skills. This is a non contact class promoting self control, respect, self discipline.
Qi Gong
Qigong is a very powerful “Healing Art” that uses slow graceful movements & breathing exercises to increase “Life Force Energy”. The benefits of regular Qigong practice are improved blood circulation and higher levels of function by the endocrine & digestive system. Aside from the countless health benefits, Qigong is a great way to relax the body and mind.
