Pilates Client Highlight: Amy Kosterlitz
By Danielle Zack, Pilates Director

Amy began Pilates two years ago. She wanted to add a deep core workout to her established routine of cycling and aerobics. Her friends suggested Pilates. She joined a few mat classes and was intrigued. She then added small group sessions twice a week working with a certified instructor on the Pilates apparatuses.

In the past two years, Amy has seen enormous benefits from her increased core strength and flexibility. She is quick to tell others of her improvements in her posture and increased body awareness. Amy confesses, “I catch myself more often when I am slouching at my computer”.

She likes both the improvements in her physique and the sense of relaxation that come from her Pilates workouts. Each week, she looks forward to the camaraderie of the small groups of women she’s now known for years. She also enjoys her Pilates instructors who are “very good about explaining proper form” while encouraging her with a good sense of humor.

Great job, Amy, at incorporating core work into your workouts and desk life, and keep up the good work!
