Welcome Michelle Gray
We welcome Michelle Gray to the Seattle Athletic Club massage staff! Many of you may already know Michelle but we have now enticed her to join our fabulous massage team. Here is an introduction to what Michelle will add to our great staff!!
Michelle became a Licensed Massage Practitioner after graduating from Brenneke School of Massage in the fall of 2002. There she received a holistic education aimed at bridging the gap between the body and mind, which she believes is the primary cause of stress and illness. Michelle’s knowledge and awareness of the body-mind connection is further informed by her BS in Biopsychology from the University of Washington and her Yoga Teacher certification from Samadhi Yoga.
Although Michelle is known for her deep tissue massage, she consciously integrates a variety of modalities in response to her client’s individual needs. Michelle’s repertoire of techniques includes crainiosacral, injury treatment, neuromuscular re-education, myofascial release, and energy work, such as Reiki.
Michelle is available on Wednesday evenings from 4:00 - 9:00 pm.

Issaquah 5K Recap
Two members of the Seattle Athletic Club competed in the first race of their lives on Saturday, May 30.
In preparation for his upcoming ½ marathon, Mark Dyce participated in the first 5K running event of his life. He began training about 2 months ago and went from a walk/jog routine, to a continual running plan. He placed 10th overall in the masters division with a time of 39:20. Mark continues to show fantastic improvement each week and we are confident he will have a great showing at the Rock N Roll Marathon at the end of the month.
Dar Khalighi joined our running program in order to build his fitness base and to try something new. Already very anaerobically fit from playing squash, he still was recovering from some nagging ankle injuries. Dar diligently followed his training program and after just 2.5 months competed in his first 5K race. He placed 5th overall and 2nd for the masters, with a time of 23:49 (7:40 minunte miles).
Race results can be found at www.racecenter.com.
If you are interested in our 5K, marathon/half marathon and triathlon training programs please contact our multi-sport coach Teresa Nelson.
