TESTIMONIALS
"I love Dave! Last year, through the SAC, he gave me a free 15-minute lesson using video at Interbay. Up till then I was hampered because, on my backswing, I was trying to keep my arm straight and, consequently, I couldn’t get enough power. Well, Dave said, “Go ahead and bend your arm.” My gosh, how freeing that was—my swing improved in form and the distance change was significant. The SAC recently sponsored a putting contest. I tried, I failed, but Dave gave me some pointers that I am looking forward to implementing this year.
Dave is patient, helpful, and knows his stuff!"
~ Pat McShea
"In my very first individual lesson with Dave, he analyzed my swing and provided instruction that instantly straightened out my drive and increased my distance. He has also given me useful suggestions for core strengthening to improve my swing efficiency. Love that instant gratification!"
~ Linda K. Lightfoot

Which Pilates Mat Class is Right for Me?
Here at the SAC one of the great benefits as a member is being able to take an unlimited number of group exercise, yoga, and Pilates mat classes! If you are looking to take a Pilates mat class, here are some things you should know.
First, the mat class focuses on the development of the “powerhouse”—the abdominals, the lower back, and the buttocks. Each class consists of a specific series of controlled movements, engaging the body and mind, performed on a mat. The mat class trains the entire body while emphasizing proper alignment and posture, effective body mechanics, correct breathing and improved circulation. There are three different levels: Intro, Fundamentals, and Intermediate, as well as some hybrid classes, like Magic Circle Mat, and Cardio Pilates Mat.
READ MORE ABOUT THE DIFFERENT LEVELS
If you have any questions on which class is for you, don’t hesitate to ask any of the Pilates instructors or Danielle at 206-443-1111 x246. Please check our website for a Mind/Body Schedule. See you in class!
