It's never too early to cultivate a healthy lifestyle. Seattle Athletic Club helps our members to teach their children about fitness by offering enjoyable physical activities in a safe, comfortable environment. Choose from aquatics, martial arts, yoga, fitness classes and sport camps designed specifically for our younger members.
Children’s Group Swimming Lessons:
We have a variety of swim lessons for ages ranging 6 month olds- three years in our Parent/Tot class, to our swim team prep classes. The children’s lessons are 30 minutes in length, and are limited to a maximum of five participants.
Swim Team Prep
Our “Swim team prep” class prepares those swimmers who are at the “Advanced beginner” level and above. Emphasis is placed on technique, strength, and endurance. Skills are introduced for children considering competitive swimming.
Private Swim Lessons
If your child is in need of “extra” assistance, or just wants to refine skills already learned, we offer private and semi-private lessons. Five and ten lesson “packages” providing discounts are available upon request.
Swim Clinics
We also offer a variety of clinics featuring Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Flip turns instruction.
Youth Strength Training
(required for all children under 16 years to use SAC weight room and cardiovascular room) Trainers lead children 10-15 years of age through a series of 4 sessions to help teach the proper ways of cardiovascular and weight training exercises, nutrition, and injury prevention. Youth Strength Training comes with a workout manual, customized workout program and the ability to use the Cybex weight room equipment.
Kid’s Yoga
This yoga class incorporates poses and movement while traveling on imaginative journeys by utilizing themes, music, stories, games, and relaxation. We will focus on fun, play, and movement while introducing forms of yoga. Definitely not your average yoga class!
Sport, Speed and Agility School
Performance enhancement training is essential to raising your ability level regardless of which sport you play. The Seattle Athletic Club takes pride in developing specialized training programs that yield results for those athletes looking for a competitive edge. All of our trainers are held to the highest standards. Each is certified by NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, the same qualification standard set by every major professional sport in the country.
Training Phases include:

Parents’ Night Out is a program where the kids come and enjoy pizza, craft and a movie while you enjoy a few hours to yourself.
Kid’s Movie Night is just as fun as Parents’ Night Out but provides a shorter movie and popcorn.
Mom’s Morning Out and Mom’s Afternoon Out is for those moms and dads looking for a morning or afternoon to themselves we have. Both of these programs allow you to leave the club for a few hours while the kids stay and play.
SAC to the Rescue is one of our most popular programs, which is essentially an emergency babysitting service offered anytime during regular club operating hours. This is great for when parents get into a bind and need alternative childcare.
Kids Court also holds many seasonal events put on throughout the year. Some of our seasonal events include Making Turkey Treat holders to celebrate, Decopate a Snowman to get into the holiday spirit and welcome the cold weather. We also hold a special Holiday Kid’s Movie Night where your kids can come watch a festive holiday themed movie while you enjoy some time to yourselves or join in spending quality time with your child.
